Ophélie Pruvost is a self taught director from Lille. She studied at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratfs de Strasbourg, where she exercised in photography and video. After discovering butoh dancing, she formed herself to modern danceand choregraphy. Immersed in this artistical universe, nurrished by the influences and skills of these disciplines, Ophélie turned to cinema.
While assuming several roles on her shootings, she moved into directing. She took part in two writing residence programs which enabled her to identify the issues. She also did some actor directing during training courses and workshops.
In 2013 she co-created the production association 36 Chandelles, which produced her first short feature film, Viens. With the support of her project by Pictanovo, she was elected alternate member of the reading committee of the association funds of Pictanovo (Région Nord-Pas de Calais), of which she currently is a member.
